What is the cost for getting a website designed?
This is more than likely the most common question asked by people interested in having a website. To answer this question you must understand there really isn't a 'set in stone' answer. For example we cannot say a website costs five dollars. The cost of a website depends on the amount of work you're needing done to your website. Most generally if you compare WebGeekz to other web designers, you'll find we are quite affordable. Many other designers have a minimum price tag of $1,000. We have no such price tag and our websites are usually way under that. If you're interested in having a website all you need to do it go to the Free Quote section and fill out the form. Once we receive this information you'll get an email with details on how much your website will cost.

How does getting a website design work (payment)?
It's pretty simple. First get a good idea of how you want your website to look and what kind of content you want on it. When you have a really good idea go to the Free Quote section and fill out the form. Once we receive this information you'll get an email with details on how much your website will cost. Say your website is $200.00, you would pay 25% down, so $50.00. When we receive the down payment we start on your website. Then when we're finished and you're happy with our work you'll pay the rest.

I have a friend (family member) that knows HTML and will do a website for free, why should I pay you?
A website is a lot more than HTML. There are many different elements that could go into a website such as PHP, Perl, CGI, Flash, FTP, Graphics, etc. If you choose us you'll get a professional design and experience.

How long does it take to build a website?
I really all depends on how large your website is and how well the client works with the developer. It's really hard to finish a website without great input from the client.

How can I promote my website?
There are many different approaches to promoting a website, some more successful than others. Many people find success at submitting their website to search engines such as Yahoo, Lycos, Excite, etc. However with you choose not to pay for submission it may take as much as 6 months to get your site listed, if it's listed at all. A great way to promote your website is to link with other websites that are closely related to you. This also helps getting submitted to search engines, because the more websites linking to you shows search engines that you are a legitimate website and should be listed. Other free approaches to promotion are free classified ads, message boards, and word of mouth. Spamming will not help promote it just makes people mad. If you want to spend a few bucks you can always buy ads on highly popular websites or just ads in a newspaper. If you're a organization that prints fliers and other related hand outs you should always include your website URL.

Can you redesign my current website?
Sure can! Just go get a Free Quote and tell me what you need done. Everything applies as if you were getting a website designed from scratch.

After the website is finished, how to I update it? Do you offer maintenance?
After the website is finished we offer a free 30 day maintenance/update service. If you're going to have updates on a regular basis and you want us to continue to update this requires a low fee, if you are interested in that please checkout the Maintenance section.

If you want to update the website yourself, we have an online tutorial which my help you update. You can download here if you want to read it and see if updating yourself is for you. We can add comments in the coding to show you where to put various updates.

What if the website has problems? Do you fix them?
Of course. If there is a problem with a website we designed such as broken links, graphics, etc that WE did we will fix them free of charge. If you are updating the website yourself or just decided to see if you could, and having problems we will still help. We're nice people, what can we say?

What happens after the website is finished?
We'll send you a CD-Rom with all the source files and documents with all your website information such as passwords. If you one day choose another website designer to revise your website he or she should be able to help with this provided information.

Can my website be successful?
Yes is can, no doubt. It takes time and work for any website to be successful, that's just the truth. Please don't be discouraged if your website doesn't do big numbers in the first week. They usually don't. Stick with it and it will be noticed. Like the saying goes, if you build it they will come.

What if I don't like my website?
What?! Our websites are never disliked! Just joking, if by some change, some small chance, you don't like your website we will redo it until you do. No questions asked. Well, the only question will be, 'What do you want to be different?'

Can I sell products on my website?
Yep. We will just need to setup some sort of Shopping Cart for you.
